Gino Carollo

Born in Vicenza, he began his career in the industrial design sector in 1990, also collaborating as an art director with prestigious Italian and foreign companies in the furniture sector. He designed, on behalf of Assarredo, the installation and coordinated image for the “Italia” pavilion at the international furniture fair in Cologne in 1992 and 1993, and again in 1992 the Italian pavilion at the “Interieur” fair in Vienna. In 1993 he took part in the “Dirattan” exhibition in Milan and in 1994 in the “progetti e territori” exhibition at the Abitare il Tempo fair in Verona. Some products were exhibited at the MoMA in New York. In the same years he won the “Du Pont” prize in Cologne, the “Young design” prize in Milan and the “Casaidea” prize in Rome. In 2012 he received the Interior Innovation Award in Cologne for the “Bookless” product by Interlübke. In 1999, STUDIO28 GINO CAROLLO opened with the aim of creating a qualified team to support companies in the sector. Product design linked to the engineering and creation of models and prototypes have proven to be tools that have allowed the studio to acquire concrete results over the years and to establish long-term collaborations. The industrial design activity of Studio 28 has expanded in recent years with the inclusion of new areas of expertise with particular development in the field of architectural design of exhibition spaces, showrooms and corporate identity.
