Jos Kranen and Johannes Gille, the Dutch design duo collectively known as Kranen/Gille, first crossed paths during their studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Following their individual graduations in 2004, they initially pursued separate paths in design. However, in 2006, after coincidentally collaborating on a project, the two joined forces to establish their own design studio. Kranen/Gille’s distinctive lighting and furniture creations are characterized by a harmonious blend of contrasts. Their inspiration draws from the organic beauty of nature as well as the robust elements of heavy industry.
