24 Karat Blau T by designer Axel Schmid for Ingo Maurer provides wonderfully warm, friendly light. The blinds are individually handcrafted in Japan. In a unique process, the wafer-thin gold leaf is cast in acrylic. The gold leaf is beaten 1/10,000 mm thin so that short-wave blue light can shine through between the molecules, while yellow-gold light is reflected. The apertures each have four holes with which they can be suspended from the rod cross at different angles. Cable and rod are red. With pull switch on the socket. The light effect can also be created with lamps with LED strings.

Axel Schmid, born in 1971, completed his studies in woodworking and metalworking before attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, where he graduated in 1997. Supported by a grant from the German Association of Industrial Designers, he spent a year in Japan. He later worked for lighting designer Ingo Maurer in Munich.
Ingo Maurer started to design exceptional lamps, lighting systems and objects beginning in the middle of the 1960s, which his company produces and distributes worldwide. This is why we can realize our ideas without compromises.
