Yet, that is where you would be mistaken. For every cross that is placed in the structure, a somewhat cruel yet pleasing illusion appears: that for every book placed on the shelves, the number of crosses seems to increase at the same time.

Established in 2002 by Oki Sato, Nendo is a prominent Japanese design firm with a global reach. Initially based in Tokyo, the company expanded with a Milan office in 2005. Over its 17-year history, Nendo has collaborated with numerous brands and earned multiple awards. The firm is celebrated for its simple, minimalist design, often reflecting influences from Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. Currently, Oki Sato serves as CEO, Akihiro Ito as COO, and Takaaki Hama as CFO.
