Born in Tel Aviv in 1972, Ron Gilad, now residing in Tel Aviv and Milan after spending some years in New York, is recognized for his hybrid objects that seamlessly blend practical ingenuity with aesthetic appeal. His creations exist on the border between the abstract and functional, showcasing a unique synthesis of artistry and functionality. Collaborating with Molteni&C, Gilad faced the question of whether to behave as a designer or stay authentic to himself. His response involved creating a connection between abstract, artistic ideas and commercial industry mechanisms, resulting in ingenious design products.
