Ludwig is a very resistant, lightweight seating system featuring completely-removable upholstery quilted at 24-cm intervals and a matching-coloured edging. The cylindrical backrest, which can be positioned at will, favours varioustypes of use. Coordinated with the Kubic sofa in a harmonious dialogue of opposites, Ludwig is a tribute to the radical design ideas born in central Europe after the First World War, bringing art and design as close together as possible.

Roberto Gobbo, an IUAV graduate based in Treviso (Italy), embarked on his career by winning the “Assemblaggio 80” award in 1980 and participating in the “Autoritrattazioni” art show in 1982. His early work included directing television documentaries on art and architecture from 1979 to 1983, showcased at the International Festival of Films on Art and Artists Biographies. In 1983, he founded his studio, focusing on architecture and design. Gobbo’s notable projects include the 1987 art exhibition “The Five” at Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista, Venice, and the 1989 “Lino Bianchi Barriviera” exhibition in Montebelluna.
