Jukka Setälä (b. 1967) is a Finnish interior architect who graduated from the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 1996. Since graduating, he has been working as a freelance furniture and lighting designer. He has created many products – mainly industrial design – but his most famous design is without any doubt Fatboy the Original bean bag.

Fatboy’s story began in 2002 with an oversized beanbag. It soon became clear that the entire world wanted to sink down on this unexpected replacement for the chair. In homes, on terraces and at events – everywhere, we saw people sitting and hanging out on our products with big smiles. And that’s why we do it.
