The Pileo modern lamp has been designed for Porada by the Sovrappensiero design studio in order to create a piece of furniture that evokes the gentleness of the wood. Inspired by nature, Pileo is characterized by the presence of a large tinplated metal lampshade – in pewter grey, white and glossy black finishes – that reminds of the hat of a mushroom. The stem is represented by the thin and sturdy frame, made of both Canaletta walnut, Porada’s iconic wood, and Ash available in all the collection’s finishes.
The standard version of the power cord is in a bright red colour, but it is also available on request in a black version for both the modern floor lamp and the table version.

Established in 2007, Sovrappensiero Design Studio is the result of collaboration between Lorenzo De Rosa and Ernesto Iadevaia, designers originally from Campania and now based in Milan. Their versatile approach to projects encompasses experimental research, industrial production, limited series, art design, functional intuition, interior design, and corporate ventures. The studio collaborates with various entities in Italian design, including partnerships with Milan Polytechnic, the University of Bologna, and NABA.
For more than 70 years, Porada furniture has been one of the finest expressions of high-end Italian design, winning fans all over the world thanks to the quality of its craftsmanship and the striking elegance of its creations. Unlike other top brands in Italian interior design, Porada furniture continues to place a primary emphasis on wood. The company regularly collaborates with ground-breaking international designers and experiments with the most innovative materials, yet the noble expressiveness of wood remains a key element in a majority of its creations. The brand has garnered a reputation for superior quality and constructive excellence, leading to the opening of its prestigious London showroom. But the success of Porada furniture is also the fruit of its unique aesthetic appeal, which expertly mixes timeless elements with daring contemporary solutions.
