Maarten Baas, born on February 19, 1978, is a renowned Dutch furniture designer, notably recognized for his innovative Real Time series of clocks where individuals manually paint the time. Influenced by mentors such as Jurgen Bey, colleagues like Bertjan Pot, and artists like Erwin Wurm, Baas attended the Design Academy Eindhoven and currently resides in Utrecht. His work intricately connects with his upbringing, aiming to harmonize technical expertise with the genuine spontaneity of childhood.
